Prepare an authorized Android phone for device binding

Use these guides to enable the Android settings required by the computer-and-browser flow or the optional Teralivo Setup wireless flow.

Before you begin

Only change debugging settings on a phone you own or are authorized to manage. Android menu names vary by manufacturer and system version, so use the Settings search field when a menu is not in the expected location.

Computer and browser binding

  • Enable Developer options.
  • Enable USB debugging.
  • Connect the phone with a data-capable USB cable.
  • Allow the phone’s USB debugging authorization prompt.

Wireless binding with Teralivo Setup

  • Enable Developer options and wireless debugging.
  • Open “Pair device with pairing code”.
  • Keep the six-digit code dialog open while pairing.
  • Use split-screen if Android closes the pairing window when switching apps.
