A five-minute screen takeover is still downtime

A kiosk screen is not merely a display: it is the service counter. When a remote technician replaces a parcel pickup, payment or check-in screen with Android settings, customers must wait even if the device itself remains online.

Conventional remote control eliminates travel, but direct control of the physical display can move part of the maintenance cost to queues, abandoned transactions, support calls and complaints. Businesses should measure customer-facing interruption as well as engineer time.

How Teralivo background app operation works

After an authorized device is bound, an operator starts a session from the web account. For compatible apps, Teralivo launches the maintenance app on an independent virtual display and sends supported touch, swipe and text actions there.

The physical display can remain on the kiosk application. This makes it possible to check a business account, refresh a connection, change an app setting or complete another supported workflow without visibly navigating away from the customer experience.
